Gelli Printing Landscapes

Class Description

Instructor: Daryne Rockett Medium: Printmaking Date: Saturday, April 25th, 2026 Time: 12 - 4pm Class fee: $85 for BRAF members; $95 for non-members Materials fee: $15 to be paid to the instructor on the day of workshop. Skill level: Any Class size: 8 students, adults only Register by April 18, 2026 Whether you are a complete novice or have already delighted in the joy of Gelli printing, this workshop is guaranteed to provide new ideas and plenty of fun. We will experiment with color, play with impression-making tools, and investigate stencils and masks to create small works of art. During the four-hour session participants will practice making multi-layered monotypes, landscapes, and botanical prints. The workshop is entirely adaptable to the experience level and goals of those in attendance. Students will be provided the use of Gelli plates and brayers for the duration of the workshop, and all consumable supplies are included in the materials fee of $15 which is paid directly to the instructor on the day of the workshop. About the instructor: Daryne Rockett is a self-taught painter and mixed media artist working from her studio in Orono, ME. She has won multiple state and national-level awards for her monotypes and has been leading workshops in Gelli printing for nearly a decade.
