Welcome to our Gallery

In the Heart of Boothbay Harbor, Maine

Since 1964, the non-profit Boothbay Region Art Foundation, Inc. has served the artists, communities, and students of the Boothbay Region through fine art sales and promoting education. Our mission has been to help artists create opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy, learn from, display, and participate in many forms of the visual arts.

"MAINELY NUDE"
A Celebration of the Human Form

This February the Gallery hosts its 5th annual celebration of the human form through art. This year’s show, “Mainely Nude” promises to be another intriguing and perhaps provocative event. All are welcome to attend the relaxed Public Opening for viewing and refreshments. The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, February 11th from 5-7 PM, with the show running from February 11th through March 4th. This year’s show is expected to feature a wide range of stylistic expressions in a variety of media including paintings, photography, wooden assemblage, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, collage, ink, charcoal, and digital. Please stop by to visit or to register to submit artwork.

The Boothbay Region Art Foundation is not your typical Gallery...

In 1963, twenty-six founding artists desired to leave a legacy to the Boothbay Region that had given them inspiration and livelihoods.  They develop the model of selling their artwork to help fund a Boothbay Region High School Scholarship Foundation to assist local college bound graduates with an interest in artistic endeavors.  Over a half a century later, the members, artists, and volunteers of the Boothbay Region Art Foundation Inc., a 501{c}(3) charitable and educational nonprofit organization, continue that operational model through the Gallery. The artists still return a portion of their sale proceeds to the Foundation to support the Gallery, the inclusion of K-12 Art Shows, and the BRAF Scholarships.  Your donations will also contribute to this long legacy of giving back, inspired by the bounty of the Boothbay Region.
