BRAF is very excited and honored to be hosting the 2023 Maine Photographers Showcase which brings together over 20 of the area's prominent photographers.  The showcase has been redesigned by Bruce Burnham to specifically encourage the invited Maine photographers to present a taste of their body of work. Each artist is given the freedom to submit a maximum of five framed images of their choice. The exhibition’s interesting format and mix of photographers present additional variety and a glimpse into what each photographer personally finds important in conveying their creative work.

In 1963, twenty-six founding artists desired to leave a legacy to the Boothbay Region that had given them inspiration and livelihoods.  They develop the model of selling their artwork to help fund a Boothbay Region High School Scholarship Foundation to assist local college bound graduates with an interest in artistic endeavors.  Over a half a century later, the members, artists, and volunteers of the Boothbay Region Art Foundation Inc., a 501{c}(3) charitable and educational nonprofit organization, continue that operational model through the Gallery. The artists still return a portion of their sale proceeds to the Foundation to support the Gallery, the inclusion of K-12 Art Shows, and the BRAF Scholarships.  Your donations will also contribute to this long legacy of giving back, inspired by the bounty of the Boothbay Region.

The Boothbay Region Art Foundation is not your typical Gallery...
