Collage & the Abstract Painting Process

4-part abstract painting class led by Maine artist, Sarah Wilde.

Abstract painting can be daunting. In this class, students will start by using collage, which provides a base from which to begin painting, freeing them from staring at a blank surface. Colors, shapes, abstract imagery -- and perhaps more -- will emerge and guide the artist's process.

This 4-part abstract painting class series is open to artists of all levels (maximum of five students) and will be taught in Sarah's studio in Walpole, Maine on Wednesday afternoons in February. According to Sarah, "the goal of this workshop is to help artists at any level loosen up and gain confidence in their explorations."

Dates: Wednesday, February 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th, 2025

Times: 12:30 - 3:30 pm
