UPDATE 8/6/25: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
The Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) is thrilled to announce a special Digital Painting Demonstration with artist Marcus Parsons on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM. The event will take place in the BRAF Harbor Room gallery, located at 1 Townsend Ave, Boothbay Harbor.
Marcus Parsons, whose digital painting "Way" was a standout at BRAF's statewide ARTinME show last fall, will demystify the art form he's been practicing for years. This is a unique opportunity for both artists and art enthusiasts to delve into the fascinating world where traditional artistry meets modern technology.

During the demonstration, Parsons will guide attendees through his creative process, sharing insights into his tools, techniques, and the capabilities of digital painting. The session will include an open Q&A and discussion, inviting participants to explore topics such as:
What exactly is digital painting?
How is it created, and what tools and techniques are involved?
How does it relate to, resemble, and differ from other forms of painting?
How does an artist conceptualize and approach digital art?
What innovative creative possibilities does it unlock?
