Small Canvas, Big Impact; Art in the Square is Back at BRAF
The Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) welcomes the return of its beloved holiday tradition: ART in the Square. Starting Thursday, November 12, 2026, visitors can explore a diverse selection of original artworks and find one-of-a-kind gifts at the BRAF Gallery, located at 1 Townsend Ave. in Boothbay Harbor.
ART in the Square presents a dynamic exhibit filled with original pieces created by local talent. Each artwork adheres to a single creative standard: every piece—whether a painting, photo, collage, or mixed media—is presented in a 12" x 12" square. Priced at just $125 each, these unique creations offer an affordable way to collect fine art or share the gift of local creativity this holiday season. Come early and come often as new pieces will be added throughout the show.
Invest in the future of local arts
Every purchase directly supports young artists in the community. Proceeds from ART in the Square fund BRAF's annual scholarship program, empowering graduating Boothbay High School seniors to pursue their educational goals in the visual arts. Buying a square is a wonderful way to bring home original artwork while directly investing in the future of local arts.
Can't visit the gallery in person? Consider making a tax-deductible donation to the BRAF annual fund online.
