Statewide juried exhibit showcases Maine artists working in large format.

The not-for-profit Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) unveils its annual juried ARTinME show, which, this year, spotlights large format works and small sculpture/ceramics from Maine artists. Entries were juried by David Estey, improvisational painter and recent president of the Union of Maine Visual
Artists (UMVA) and Jaap Helder, a lifelong painter who approaches art with a profound sense of wonder and curiosity.
ARTinME 2025 kicks-off on October 1st with an opening reception at the BRAF Gallery on Saturday, October 4th from 5 to 7pm. The show continues through November 8th.
The only state-wide juried exhibit that BRAF sponsors, jurors Estey and Helder noted that they were impressed with the quality of work and appreciated the enthusiasm of the artists, which was clearly evident.
Artists from all over Maine submitted more than 100 works for ARTinME 2025. Awards for Best in Show, Second and Third Place and three Honorable Mentions will be announced at the opening reception on October 4th. The Jurors plan to attend to personally mention some of their favorites.
Established in 1965, The Boothbay Region Art Foundation’s mission is to promote public interest in the arts, encourage visual arts in the local schools, and raise funds to provide a scholarship for graduating students pursuing further education in the visual arts.
